I'd like to introduce a new mini-framework for Django: Appomatic. Appomatic automates and abstracts away most of the boilerplate code and code generation of a typical Django project, reduces the amount of settings.py clutter and allows for distributing self contained single-click installable Django apps. In short - it makes installing django apps as simple as installing Drupal or Wordpress modules. https://github.com/redhog/appomatic It is based on virtualenv and pip.
