I'v used Latex, docbook before, but I should say they are not so easy
to learn, so I think it not very suit for wiki text format. So if the
diamanda can support many text format will be excellent, and this will
suit different user. Now that diamanda is a wiki app, so I think it
should be support wiki format first, and many people are used to
trac/moinmoin, so the wiki text format is not so difficut at all. Just
my thought.
