I had the same problem as you do. You can try the instructions on this site: http://djangolife.blogspot.sg/2008/06/part-vi-django.html
Remember to restart your cmd prompt after you changed the environment variables though. I didn't and it took me sometime to figure out that the reason the environment variables didn't change was because I did not restart my shell/cmd prompt.
