Hi, Pinax is a collection of reusable django apps, and you an use individual projects as django apps. https://github.com/pinax/django-friends Another issue I found is, it is not maintained well and make sure that it suits your purpose and works well with latest version of django. Then you can directly use it as an app adding it to your settings.py
