I just upgraded my Debian server, which brought the python-django package up to version 1.2, and now any attempt to post to the database tables results in a CSRF failure. I'm using the admin pages to do just about everything, so it not clear how to apply the instructions in the Django CSRF docs [1]. Those documents say "The utility script extras/csrf_migration_helper.py can help to automate the finding of code and templates that may need to be upgraded. It contains full help on how to use it." That script is not among the many files installed by the package. Right now I've got things working by hacking the core code and disabling the lines which are returning the failure, but that's clearly not a good long-term solution. Breaking sites like this with a dot-release which isn't backwards compatible is disappointing, to put it politely. Unless I can get this working the right way I'm going to have to dump Django and port the site to some other package.
