Hi Doug Perhaps [0] on stackoverflow helps you solving the problem (--noreload option). As I remember I had the same issue within Aptana.
-V, before using PyCharm I was also developing with a simple editor (vi). Aptana wasn't a good choice, because the support for Django isn't built-in. PyCharm doesn't face you with these kind of problems, because PyCharm is very well prepared for Django-based applications.
