I haven't worked through the example (yet!), so I cannot comment on its accuracy, but I really like this article. :-) Showing the thought process for converting an existing application into something that works with Django is a good idea. Things like the idea of writing an initial view that just prints out the results so that you can see what's going on. This (and hopefully similar articles) should be a valuable resource to point people to.
