I've got my output at least resembling yours now, thanks to your explanation about the difference between URL config and apps.
I'm using this for urlpatterns: ( r'^$' , 'django.views.generic.simple.direct_to_template' , { 'template' : 'index.html' } ) , However, there's a new wrinkle. While trying to figure out what I was doing/not doing, I wiped the db and rm'd the apps in the project. Loading http://127.0.0.1 now says: Exception Value: (1146, "Table 'bbg.django_session' doesn't exist") No worries, I thought. I'll just stick a basic app in there and load up the tables before carrying on. ./manage.py startapp goods ./manage.py sql goods The second line spits this back: django.core.exceptions.ImproperlyConfigured: App with label goods could not be found There is, to be clear, a /goods directory with all expected files sitting in it. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Django users" group.
