thanks for the response eas. I have seen and tried to install some of the django blog apps people have shared but without success (so far). I guess the message here is that there is just no way around setting some time aside to sit down and learn how the pieces go together, that it is not for end users (perhaps post 1.0...)...it IS called a "framework" after all. :)
