You should be able to do both those with the block tag, unless I'm
misunderstanding something, or you have some other requirement.
{% extends "base.html" %}
{% block content %}
{% block extra-js %}
{% if user.is_authenticated %}
<script src="foo.js"></script>
<script src="bar.js"></script>
{% endif %}
{% endblock %}
... more block content ...
{% endblock %}
