I came across this in Django's documentation:

(...........)
limit_choices_to:
A dictionary of lookup arguments and values (...)that limit
the available admin choices for this object.

Instead of a dictionary this can also be a Q object (an object
with a get_sql() method) for more complex queries.
(...........)

Does it limit only the admin choices (i.e in the Django admin
interface) or does it also affect default manipulators?
And what is a Q object (QuerySet?) ?
