Really, though, it sounds like a lot of your problems are system administration-style issues: getting MySqldb and Python installed and working correctly. Particularly if you are seeing things like "cannot import ImmutableSet", then your Python setup is somehow broken, because ImmutableSet is part of standard Python. You really need to get some assistance from somebody who can help you get your system set up for doing MySQL + Python work. The problems you are seeing are unusual and indicate there is something strange about the way your system is configured. It can most easily be solved by having somebody sitting next to you looking at the output and poking around. This type of thing is *very* hard to fix via mailing lists (although that never stops us trying).
