I should have mentioned, the host that I am considering also has mysql,
and mod_python.

What I usually do is develop an app on my home linux box, then transfer
that app to the remote host. Of course I have to create the same
database, with the same name on the host.

So far, I have only worked with PHP. My understanding is that Python is
a little trickier.

>From what you have posted so far, it seems I would be able to develop
python apps with django, and transfer those apps to a remote host with
mod_python and mysql.
