Hi Ross, this is the way (simplified) I do with a generic view:
Url: ---- (r'^app/$', 'project.app.views.index'), View: ------- from django.views.generic import list_detail def index(request): return list_detail.object_list(request, 'app', 'module', extra_context = {"region": request.session['region']}, paginate_by=10, allow_empty=True) Now, if your module_list.html template extends you base.html, you can use your region variable in either base.html or module_list.html.
