Its a trade off, I chose the magic removal branch, because the syntactical changes really appeal to me. The models are a lot cleaner and DB API too.
However it does have problems. And when 0.92 comes out you will have to change to the new syntax anyways. So if your starting from scratch like me, and your willilng to put up with a few bugs, the magic removal is the way to go. If however you need rock solid, the trunk is the way to go.
