Yes it's common but it has a disadvantage that prefix eats screen place
from real subject. In most list with prefixed subjects I can't find a
single message where real subject is entirely visible in my mail reader.
This is the reason why one might not want the prefix. OTOH I don't see a
point of not using 'from' field for filtering. It's just as easy...
