Closing as "wontfix" following forum discussion. Django will deprecate and
remove `fail_silently` as part of the email providers work in #35514, so
these documentation changes would be moot.
(If for some reason #35514 fails to land in an upcoming release, it might
be appropriate to reopen this ticket for triage. And if accepted at that
point, Ahmed Asar's earlier PR https://github.com/django/django/pull/20692
would be a fine start.)
