Comment (by Soro wahagnona jean):

I've studied ticket #28618 which has been accepted since 2017 but remains
stalled. The existing PR (#19353) was marked "needs improvement" by
Carlton Gibson because it only provides a blunt global toggle. My proposal
addresses this gap with a Jinja2-inspired Undefined types system that
offers granular, configurable behavior — directly implementing the
if_invalid callable approach originally proposed by Tim Graham in
 comment:6.
