That seems to be an issue with `mod_wsgi`'s use of sub interpreters to me
[https://github.com/GrahamDumpleton/mod_wsgi/issues/206 as pointed out by
the last post]. Are you not using `mod_wsgi`? You specified you were
running on EC2/AWS but nothing about your WSGI server.
