If you want to write some code to solve the problem, we can take a look to
see if it's suitable for inclusion in Django. I don't think the use case
is common enough to say "yes, this is definitely something that Django
should solve and it can't be done in a third-party app."
I would close the ticket again as wontfix, but I'll leave it for another
person to "third" this decision after Simon and me.
