I'm not really in favor of the additional complexity. In the admin tests,
for example, the problem is solved like this:

response = <post request to create new object>
new_user = User.objects.get(username='newuser')
self.assertRedirects(response, reverse('admin:auth_user_change',
args=(new_user.pk,)))
}}}
