Hi all,

We're having a Django 1.0 launch party in Bangkok tomorrow where we're
hoping to be able to start to build a team to tackle the Thai
localisation.

The Thai language itself has a rather complex orthography, but I
suspect that the translation of things like the admin module is just
going to be a matter of organisation -- is there any software to help
with the management of this process that other teams have made use of?

Thailand has a couple of features that, although not unique, are still
quite rare. The year is rebased -- the current year is 2551 BE
(Buddhist Era) and the clock is split into 4 6 hour quarters rather
than 2 12 hour halves.

We'd also like to try to make a start translating the tutorials and
some other explanatory texts -- basically anything where there is
going to be a big win fairly quickly for people.

I kind of assuming that for the text that Django uses we'd be starting
off with an English file were we over time replace the English with
Thai. Is this the basis of the procedure?
