Hi all,

Would it make sense to enhance the django.core.files.storage.Storage class
with some additional methods such as copy or move file?

I'm currently in a situation where my storage backend is a S3 bucket, and
in order to move files I need to download and upload them again at a
different location.
I could obviously implement the file moving operation by using some low
level S3 API.
However, writing low level storage dependent code in the model objects
would kill their portability, so
I feel like this kind of functionality should be handled by the storage
object itself.

Regards,
Alex
