I’ve done Outreachy once so far as a mentor (doing it again starting in a week or so) in the Jenkins project, though it was a project using an Apache library (Log4j Audit). Back then, I had figured that Apache couldn’t participate directly due to Outreachy’s funding requirements. However, if a third party company were to handle the funding, I think that we could participate.
