The Council has once again failed to call elections, so I'd like to announce my intention of standing for election to the Council. I'm a former member of the FSF board of directors, a winner of the FSF Award for the Advancement of Free Software, and I have spent a large amount of time over the past few years writing free software to replace proprietary components running in a variety of circumstances. I continue to write free software and assist organisations in demonstrating that vendors are failing to comply with the GPL. I am also an EU citizen, and so am at no risk of jeopardising the right to use the fsfellowship.eu domain.
