hi , I had an issue that I am debugging and wanted some insight. I am using a VM that I would like to put on local network using OpenvSwitch + TAP interface. If I am successful I would like to use this approach for putting more VM's connected to same openvSwitch.
I dont have DHCP in my local network, so all configuration is through Static IP. .I have been trying to do configurations with Static IPs to VM after putting TAP connections on the VM but for some reason they do not seem to work for me and I cannot get VM to talk to host. I replicated this same setup in DHCP environment and it works there. Wanted to check if openvSwitch has any dependency on DHCP for its workings ? Regards Chetan
