Hi all, I'm trying to figure out how a switch is connected to the controller inside of a network with several OVS. The switch has ports, and according to the specification, also channels to connect to the controllers. My question is whether each switch has a channel with a "direct" connection to the controller or on the other hand that channel is but another OF port.
What I'm trying to ask is, given a network created with several OVS and a controller, when the controller sends a message to a switch, and to reach that switch in the network you have to go through other switches, does that message go routed through the OF switches of the network, passing through flow tables etc like any other packet? Or that message has a different kind of connection that doesn't go through the OF ports of the switches? Thanks in advance, David. _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list discuss@openvswitch.org http://openvswitch.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss
