Have you disable the firewall in the OS of VM?

i have ovs switch in OS host and two VM in virtualbox and want to ping from vm to vm through ovs-switch but the ovs switch cant pass the ping ???
this is the steps to create the ovs -switch
sudo ovs-vsctl add-br br0
sudo ip tuntap add mode tap x1
sudo ip tuntap add mode tap x2
sudo ifconfig x1 up
sudo ifconfig x2 up
sudo ovs-vsctl add-port br0 x1
sudo ovs-vsctl add-port br0 x2
sudo ifconfig br0 up
and each vm have ip in the same network..
so any one know the problem ????
