Is there the different between brcompat_mod with brcompat?

root@node2:~# /etc/init.d/openvswitch-switch restart
 * ovs-brcompatd is not running
 * Killing ovs-vswitchd (13619)
 * Killing ovsdb-server (13610)
 * Starting ovsdb-server
 * Configuring Open vSwitch system IDs
 * Starting ovs-vswitchd
 * iptables already has a rule for gre, not explicitly enabling

  I use  "module-assistant auto-install openvswitch-datapath" many times to
expect brcompat_mod.ko

but it doesn't work. In the path I find brcompat.ko . Is there the different
between brcompat_mod with brcompat?

after insmod brcompat.ko , the things do not change. Still, ovs-brcompatd is
not running. how to cope with this?
