I recently tried unsuccessfully to compile the kernel version of the
1.6.1 tarball release on a box with kernel 3.3. I recieved a
redefinition error in vlan.h, which I can only guess means that there is
no good way to get around patching the openvswitch kernel code in the
kernel, or try removing it by comparing 3.3 to 3.2 and hope that I get
it all cleaned up. I tried this because the 3.3 kernel module doesn't
support tunneling and I would like to test that out... Has anyone been
able to build a tarball kernel module against 3.3, and if so how?
