Most servers only have 2 NIC, they both must to be used as data link when fail-over required or 2 sub-net required scene. Then we have no management NIC available. But bridge-utils allow us use the same NIC for both data link and management link. PS: We use kernel 3.2 and Open vSwitch 1.4.1 for testing.
