You should be able to follow the INSTALL.Linux Which describes the use of: ovs-vswitchd And also gets you started with ovs-vsctl. I would also recommend that you take a look at the ovs-vsctl man page. I initially thought I needed nox, but ovs-vsctl handles the functionality that I am currently using.
