Hello, I wanted to let you know that I am creating a centralized calendar repository for system administrator-related events. The blog entry discussing it is here: http://www.standalone-sysadmin.com/blog/2010/05/sysadmin-calendar/ and the actual calendar page (with links to calendar source files) is here: http://www.standalone-sysadmin.com/blog/sysadmin-calendar/
The goal is to provide a central clearinghouse for events taking place in the "real world" where sysadmins can get together and meet each other, with the overarching goal being to grow the community. I have excluded product or OS user groups from the calendar, but have specifically excluded SysAdmin user groups from that rule. This means that the LOPSA, SAGE, etc user groups are welcome to contact me to let me know when their meetings are, and I'll add them to the calendar. I welcome feedback about this project, both positive and negative. Thanks in advance! All the best, --Matt Simmons PS - Please feel free to tell other groups about this. The more people who know, the more effective it will be -- LITTLE GIRL: But which cookie will you eat FIRST? COOKIE MONSTER: Me think you have misconception of cookie-eating process. COOKIE MONSTER: Boy, I wish I were a sysadmin so I could go to the NJ-PICC Sysadmin Conference! http://www.picconf.org _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lopsa.org http://lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
