I like the idea of *several* pages like this that show the contributions of 
system administrators.

This should *definitely* be a set of pages at LOPSA.org.  If we want to show 
the value of the community and how we
affect peoples' lives, then this would be a good start.

Look at ARRL.org.  The constantly do "hams in the news", especially when a ham 
is an astronaut, elected official, or
just otherwise in the news in a good way.
