Rogue AP detection can be very important, too. It's not just about security, but also about stopping them from interfering either at an analog RF level, or from taking up "transmit slots" that you want for yourself.
I would ping the DEFCON netadmin folks, they did pretty well in Vegas the last two years, in what *I* would certainly consider a hostile network environment :-) Let me know if you want a contact... We have some places where we have 60 wireless devices in a single 40x40 bay, and then 8 bays in two rows of 4 separated by a corridor. The Aruba product has been working for us, although they did send out one of their designers who created some custom firmware. All the features that we needed were then incorporated into the main line product. This was all done about 4 years ago. Both DEFCON and us use the Aruba stuff... --tep _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lopsa.org http://lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
