Hi All
I was wondering how people record and track the physical part of the network
For example:
wall jack socket numbers, location and which telecommunication/patch area/rack they run back to.
Backbone links between telecommunications rooms/patch areas/racks

Does anyone use ANSI/TIA/EIA 606-A which covers administration and record keeping of a generic t www.flexcomm.com/library/606aguide.pdfelecommunications cabling system?

How do people track this sort of information, falt files, spreadsheets, locally written code, open source or other packages?

About the only software packages I have found mentioned is LANdb (http://landb.sourceforge.net/) which doesn’t seem to be actively developed.

All the best
