They both have the same problem: they required a download->use->upload process that people still have trouble with. WinSCP and HFS (rejetto.com) also appear to work like ftp. I'm really looking for something that the client can use like a network drive. ExpandDrive appears to be a pretty-looking, expensive port of WinSCP. SimpleGroupware looks very cool, but has the same problem with file sharing as above; we are looking for a new webmail system anyway so it may still be worth investigating. I don't see how OpenFiler provides client-side functionality. sshfs is a good idea, but are there MS Windows clients? OpenAFS - this looks very promising but will require a bit of work on the backend, work that I probably need to do anyway. I'm going to start working on AFS and test WinSCP and HFS on a few clients. If I'm misunderstanding something please let me know. If you have any experiences with less-technical people working from remote locations, I'd like to here those too. -- Perfection is just a word I use occasionally with mustard. --Atom Powers-- _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
