Where do you see apache getting killed? Apache seems to always be running and mariadbd is killed. And it won't restart. I often pound the heck out of apache http://www.brookln-fishing.com alone is my master peice of stupid web design with thousand of images on it which swells apaches connecitons and cached memory in modperl. It is only maria which seems to be crashing. It is used for a simple text mailing list which stores emails in mariadb and serves them read-only. Mailing list entries are live stored on a back end database on another machine where the mail is running and perdiodically I just rsync the entire database from /usr/locl/var to the webserver. The mailing list gets hammered by bots and that seems to be the source of the problem. > > MariaDB could be the victim here.
