I was a relatively early adopter of Time Warner Cable RoadRunner service 
in North Carolina, and received 'lbr...@nc.rr.com' as my account's 
primary email address.  I never used it for anything beyond 
communicating with TWC.  TWC's default username policy created users by 
contatenating (FirstInitial, LastName, DigitSequence), so lbrown1, 
lbrown2, etc.  Needless to say, I received a never-ending stream wrong 
emails because people would forget to add the number on the end of their 
username.  Quite entertaining at times.
