Sounds like a very valid skill to me. I'm doing a bit of Windows desktop 
support at work and I find that 95% of the time I can get the solution to 
any problem with google. The thing is the people I'm supporting also have 
access to google so why can't they find the same answers I do?

Instead they do things like when I ask them to download iTunes, flash, 
or IE8 manage to google and go to spyware sites ( with flashing banner ads 
) rather than microsoft, adobe or apple.com .
