And it was such a good story! I don't think this was what I read, though. There was nothing about religion associated with this memory. I was probably thinking of this: "... In 1897 the Indiana House of Representatives unanimously passed a measure redefining the area of a circle and the value of pi. ..." and may have been influenced by this [but I WAS thinking of Indiana]: "...
