A group that's started to form in Rhode Island is interested in learning,
teaching and advocating for non-corporate software. Although I'm not sure
whether we will call ourselves a Linux User Group, at the first meeting last
night everyone was interested in learning more about Linux and most were Linux
users. We also want to be useful to people who don't see themselves as
technically skilled and aren't interested in Linux per se, but just want to
have their phone less dominated by insidious corporate products and are just
looking to take a small, not-too-techy step in that direction. And we may be
doing some advocacy too. Some are interested in learning how to disconnect
their car's wireless. So far we don't have a name, but most of us are in
Providence.

Would BLU possibly be interested in helping this new group get started --
mentoring, being a resource, helping some initial event(s) like maybe an event
to install FOSS stuff on people's devices?
