That went away with 64 bit systems and the GPT partitioning
system 15 years ago.
When you say ssd is that really an nvme?
I would say both, but, yes.
I would look at the output from smartctl -a /dev/nvme0n1 to
see what errors show up. There are other tests you can do as
outlined in the man page.
