Motherboard and mainboard are mostly interchangeable terms. If one is
being ultra-pedantic, a motherboard has capacity for expansion boards
(daughter boards/cards) while a mainboard does not. But just as
pedantically, Frameworks' mainboards are motherboards: they have RAM
module sockets.
