Ciao Everyone!
I think we must follow a more conservative way promoting the download
and the installation of 3.6.x version *at the moment.*
I think we must come back using:
o) green circle to download the new 3.5.6 LibreOffice;
o) orange circle to download 3.6.0 and the incoming 3.6.1 LibreOffice
version too.
We can also add an helping tooltip on green and orange circle image that
make clear the *current purpose* of each release...
I know we have to wide the testing base each time a new version "see the
light", but we have not to make People/Users to escape / go away from
our office suite; we have not to hate / deprecate 3.5.6 and next 3.5.x
releases yet.
People has to work well with our office suite and in an affordable way.
We have to drive them in this behaviour!!!
I read about someone on MacOS X that migrate from 3.3.4 directly to
3.6.0 (!!!) and that his upgraded MacOS X LibreOffice crashes and come
back to run deleting Extension directory on the user's home directory or
something similar... I don't know if this is the only trouble that he
could deal with now on (!), but the first thought I made then was to
suggest him to install 3.5.5 or next release.
What do you think about?
Have a nice day,
Carlo
