This is fast becoming an FAQ... LibO - like OOo - does not really have separate components. Even if you could download just one component, the resulting size would only be a few MBs smaller than it is now. Componentizing it is such a huge job that it is really not worth discussing here. The current size problem as compared to OOo is because all of the language packs are included... and this situation is only temporary until storage is no longer an issue...
