Hi Jeff, Thanks again for your recent response to my posted questions, but it was not explicit enough to help me extract the values I wanted from the pmt list and dictionary. Based on the following pmt definitions for a list and dictionary. How do I extract the 1st element in the list and the value of the key 'spam'? P_list = pmt.to_pmt([1, 2, 3.45, 'eggs']) P_dict = pmt.to_pmt({'spam': 20, 'eggs': 40}) Thanks! George
