I noticed a difference in the constellation symmetries for the header and the payload.
If I recall correctly, the header was set to digital.psk_2() and the payload was digital.psk_4(). I changed them both to be psk_4 and it appears to have cleaned it up. It looks like someone was making changes for testing and missed an entry backing out of the changes. -- Cinaed On 10/27/2018 03:16 PM, J Nicholas Laneman wrote: > Hi All, > > I am tinkering with the “packet” example code, specifically > packet_loopback_hier.grc from .../share/gnuradio/examples/digital/packet/, on > a Lenovo laptop running Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and GNU Radio 3.7.13.4 installed via > PyBOMBS. > > Strangely, when I run the flow graph out of the box, I see the following log > error once in a while: > > gr::log :INFO: header_payload_demux0 - Parser returned #f > > Also strangely, the flow graph simply stops running after transmitting about > 1200 PDUs. > > Note that I have observed these issues on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS installed on the > laptop as well as a desktop, as well as an iMac running OS X. > > Can anyone comment on the level of maturity of these examples and the blocks > they rely upon? > > > Regards, > Nick Laneman > University of Notre Dame > _______________________________________________ > Discuss-gnuradio mailing list > Discuss-gnuradio@gnu.org > https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss-gnuradio > _______________________________________________ Discuss-gnuradio mailing list Discuss-gnuradio@gnu.org https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss-gnuradio
