Sorry, I just realized that there is a "Python Module" block in the
flowgraph with the ID "spectro_helper." Do I need to modify the code
in this block, and if so, how?
Thanks so much!
Ellie
This should "just work(tm)" what version of GR are you running--perhaps
it doesn't have Python Module support?

Hello again,
Ok, so I cloned the code from the spectro_radiometer repository,
and opened the .grc file. It looks like almost everything is ok,
except I am getting the error, "spectro_helper not defined."
Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I suspect this is because I
didn't install the spectro_helper block; but I am not sure how to
do this. Do you have any advice/steps I should take? Sorry for the
newbie question; I'm not very experienced at this kind of stuff!
Thanks in advance. Have a good afternoon!

Thanks for the info about spectro_radiometer - that looks
really helpful. Thank you so much for providing these
resources for amateur radio astronomy!
Have a good evening,
Ellie

Hello Ellie White:
Is this what you are looking for?

Many open source projects (not just GNU Radio) migrated
from CVS/SVN to Git.

Note that I don't do much maint on simple_ra these days,
since I've essentially replaced it with:
https://github.com/ccera-astro/spectro_radiometer
<https://github.com/ccera-astro/spectro_radiometer>
The wxGUI bits that simple_ra relies upon are being
deprecated in Gnu Radio, and worse, recent versions of
wxPython appear to have a memory leak somewhere that
leads to simple_ra crashing after several hours
of operation.
I'll admit that spectro_radiometer is less well
documented than simple_ra, but easier to install. It
has higher
performance than simple_ra, but due to use of the Qt
widget sets, and a simpler internal structure.

Hello,
Quick question; I'm looking at a document by Marcus
Leech for a 21cm radio telescope (not sure when it
was written, or where I found it online - I printed
it out a long time ago and just came across it while
sorting paperwork) and I am interested in using the
simple_ra module that was mentioned in this paper. I
was just wondering if this is still available
through CGRAN, or not? I've tried the command, svn
co https://www.cgran.org/svn/projects/simple_ra
<https://www.cgran.org/svn/projects/simple_ra> but I
keep getting errors. Thought I would check if this
is due to something I'm doing wrong or if the
address is defunct.
Thanks so much!
Ellie
