Nyquist Criterion demands 0s at every symbol time multiple (which should, for an interpolated filter, still be true, if interpolation is done correctly), but also ½ at odd halves of the sample interval. Thus, if your interpolation isn't even, that might break, if I'm not mistaken. Might be mistaken, though, been doing weird math stuff this morning.
